The Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development (MLGRD) and the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) is organising a 4-Day Nationwide Training Programme on ‘Effective Functionality of the Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCCT) and the Next Generation Leadership’ for Assembly Members (AMs) of MMDAs. The residential programme is scheduled to take place in series of training events at the Institute’s Accra Campus, Ogbojo-Accra from 28th November to 22nd December, 2022.

ILGS in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government Rural Development and Decentralisation and partners is organising a series of 3-day Next Generation Leadership Training for Assembly Members of forty (40) selected districts of the REEL-G Pilot Project from 7th to 30th November, 2022. The leadership programme is intended to enhance competencies of participants for effective performance of their representative, deliberative, legislative, executive and oversight duties as well as obligations.

2021/2022 SPECIAL ADMISSIONS COHORT MATRICULATION The Institute held a Matriculation ceremony for its 2021/2022 Special Admissions Cohort on Friday, 26th August, 2022 at the Institute's campus at Ogbojo, Accra. By administration of the Matriculation Oath, a total number of forty seven (47) students were admitted as junior members in stautu pupilari of the Institute of Local Government Studies by the Director, Prof. Nicholas Awortwi.
