GRADUATE ADMISSIONS
Applications are invited from qualified applicants for admission into the following postgraduate programmes at the Institute of Local Government Studies:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
MA Local Government Administration and Organisation Applicants should posses a Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences or any other related subjects, and two years post graduate work experience. The target group includes all persons interested in local governance and decentralisation.
MSc Local Government Financial Management Applicants should posses either a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Commerce and Finance from any recognized university accredited by the National Accreditation Board. Persons with the final examination certificate of the following professional bodies are eligible to apply: ICA (Ghana), ACCA, CIMA & CIPFA.
MSc Local Economic Development Applicants must have a good first degree preferably in geography, planning, economics, business or commerce and two years post graduate working experience. Degrees in other disciplines could be considered.
MSc Environmental Science Policy and Management Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Geography, Natural Resources, Agricultural Science, Biological Sciences, Planning, Civil Engineering, Economics from any recognized university accredited by the National Accreditation Board.
Persons of qualifications lower than the above may be admitted subject to passing a selection interview.
