The Tamale Campus of the ILGS was inaugurated in February 2000. ILGS Tamale runs the same programmes as that of the Accra Campus. Its coverage area includes the three northern regions of the country (Northern, Upper-East and Upper-West Regions).

Currently the Campus is conducting research on the following;

  • Access to criminal justice system: (Tamale Metropolis)
  • The Media and Decentralization
  • Media and peace reporting
  • Managing the urbanization process in Ghana: (The role of the traditional land authorities
  • Comparative study between old and new districts in service delivery
